WYESIDE CONSULTING REPORTS

Wyeside Consulting will be producing two new reports in 2020, on ENVIRONMENTAL LAWS AFTER BREXIT and on COP 26.

ENVIRONMENTAL LAWS AFTER BREXIT

2020 is a critical turning point for environmental laws in the UK. Leaving the EU, we will also leave behind the framework and enforcement of EU environmental laws. The Report will consider what will replace these, and the factors that will influence future environmental laws, including - The Environment Bill;

The Office for Environmental Protection; The new policy of divergence from EU standards; The devolution settlement, and different approaches of devolved administrations to the environment; and

Environmental standards in trade negotiations.

COP 26

30,000 delegates from as many as 200 countries will converge on Glasgow in November 2020 for a make or break climate change summit to determine the next steps in the Paris Agreement process. This Report will consider –

Key issues;

The structure of the conference;

Key participants;

Points to look out for.

It will also contain an update on Wyeside’s efforts to provide educational outreach to young people, to enable them to take more effective environmental action  by accessing the best science and influencing environmental institutions.
