The timely report issued by the Institute for Government on 31 January 2019 ‘Brexit: two months to go’ (Joe Owens, Tim Durrant) is a reminder of how much key legislation remains unfinished, and is unlikely to be enacted before 29 March 2019.
It is a great honour to be appointed by Welsh Government as a Deputy Environmental Protection Assessor for Wales, working with the other Deputy John Henderson, and reporting to the Interim Environmental Protection Assessor for Wales, Professor Lynda Warren.

It was great to make a first visit to Accra and Ghana in mid April 2025 to contribute to a workshop on nuclear liability as part of the European Commission programme in support of Ghana’s Nuclear Regulatory Authority, led by friends and colleagues from Vienna. I did sessions on nuclear liability, and on nuclear transport.
